Reiki and healing arts

About Carie McCoy

I was a nature child always outside with animals and climbing trees. As I have traveled along my life's path I have been a mother, daughter, sister, friend, cheerleader, book reader, personal trainer, image consultant, teacher, businesswoman, explorer, creatrix, lover of learning, and a healing guide.

In 2016, I was blindsided by information that would forever change the course of my life. It was a very challenging time for me, to say the least. Despite the pain, I dug deep and found my core. I studied and I learned and I practiced and I healed. I became an alchemist taking what was broken and transforming it into gold. Transcending despair and finding joy in life is the treasure.

A huge part of my recovery journey was my energetic and soul healing practice. Time and time again I saw and felt these modalities working to heal me. I also developed and learned to trust my intuition. I learned to apply what I had learned for myself to help others as well. This was something I was good at, so I furthered my studies and trained to work as a healing guide. I believe we heal ourselves. I can show you the way.

I am a certified Usui Reiki practitioner. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Washington and am a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology candidate at Bastyr University. I hold certifications in Mental Health First Aid for both Youth and Adults.

I take an interdisciplinary approach to healing, applying my past work experience and studies with my intuition to my work. I look at energetic healing through a scientific lens. I notice where physics and metaphysics arc towards each other. As a scientist, I was trained to observe, ask questions, test, and verify results. As one who works in the field of energetic healing, I have to accept I cannot explain the healing I witness. I am just grateful for it.
