I value integrating the mind, body, and spirit for whole-being embodied healing so we can show up as our authentic selves, increase our vitality, and foster supportive interpersonal connections. I believe when we heal ourselves, we heal the world.
I am a trauma-informed, nonjudgmental, client-centered practitioner orienting to somatic, depth, and multicultural-feminist therapeutic approaches.
Somatic IFS uses somatic awareness, conscious breathing, somatic resonance, mindful movement, and attuned touch to bolster the mind-body connection and foster the state of embodied self energy. This practice was developed by Susan McConnell incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS) psychotherapy and somatic therapies including Hakomi Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
This modality beautifully blends my background as a subtle energy healer with my education and training as a psychotherapist.
